The AgriEd story

AgriEd was once just an idea over a duration of years! I have always wanted to combine my passions for education, curriculum content creation and working directly with students and their support systems. I love working alongside students when they have their "light bulb" moment on a concept that we have been working on.

I believe education is not a one size fit all model. Each student is uniquely their own with different learning styles, preferences and interests. Creating curriculum to coincide with student capabilities builds confidence and shows the student they can thrive and achieve.

Working alongside students with leaning diagnoses has shown me time and time again, that with the right approach and knowledge of their diagnoses that they can achieve learning goals - Education should not be a race, each student deserves the time, energy and patience to learn.

Who am I?

My name is Jess! I live in regional SA with my husband and two boys. After working 11+ years in the education sector I have decided to branch out on my own and follow my passions. Over my time working in Education I have worked with schools, students and families from all areas of South Australia (Oodnadatta to Mt Gambier!). I am a specialist Agriculture and Science teacher but have taught students in years R-12 in all areas of the curriculum. I am a well-rounded and highly experienced education professional with a strong background in teaching all curriculum areas from Reception through to Year 12

I completed my Under graduate and Post graduate degrees in Agricultural Science and Education at the University of Adelaide in 2014. Since that time I have worked in the public and private sector mentoring others, teaching approx 870 students and having lots of fun along the way.

AgriEd is a member of ATA (Australian Tutoring Association). This means that my membership with the Australian Tutoring Association (ATA) requires strict adherence to the ATA Code of Conduct.
